TDD: Benefits

Mike Hadlow writes an interesting article on the benefits of TDD.

 

The idea is simple whenever you modify existing code you need to test that it still works.

 

Mike posts on some statistics by Peter Hallam that works for the Visual Studio team at Microsoft.

 

According to peter this is how developers spend their days:

 

  • Writing new code 5%
  • Modifying existing code 25%
  • Understanding Code 70%
